Anna Maria College
Anna Maria’s MPA program is offered fully online, with specializations in fire service administration, emergency management, criminal justice, health care administration and homeland security. The direct MPA track is 42 credits, but qualifying students can complete a 30-credit fast-track option.
City University of New York
CUNY offers a specialized MPA-Inspector General program designed to train students to work in various oversight positions within local and state governments and agencies. Students are required to attend the conferences of the Association of Inspectors General for face-to-face meetings in addition to completing their online coursework.
Notre Dame de Namur University
NDNU’s online MPA program consists of 36 credit hours that can be completed in as few as two years of full-time study. All of the student support options for on-campus students are also available to online students, including dedicated academic advising and career counseling.
Clemson University
Designed for working professionals, classes in Clemson’s MPA program meet once a week from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Concentrations are available in sustainability and public administration, non-profit management, local government, emergency management and homeland defense and security.
Gannon University
Gannon’s online MPA program is designed to prepare students for leadership-level responsibility in the public sector, and offers two specializations: administrative and organizational leadership.
Kent State University
Kent State’s program is designed to allow full-time students to graduate within two years. Tuition is the same for in-state and out-of-state students.
Northeastern University
Northeastern University offers a 42 credit program that allows students to complete the degree within two academic years. An internship is required for students without previous work experience.
Northwestern University
Northwestern offers an online Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration. The program is designed for part-time students to be able to complete their degree in as little as one and a half years.
Pennsylvania State University
Penn State’s Master of Public Administration program allows students to take elective courses in diverse areas including criminal justice, policy analysis, information resource management and government administration in order to tailor the degree to their specific career goals. Penn State’s MPA is a 36 credit program with each credit costing $775.
University of Illinois, Springfield
The University of Illinois, Springfield offers a 40 credit MPA with half of the credits coming from elective courses. Tuition is $322 per credit hour.
University of Nebraska, Omaha
The University of Nebraska, Omaha offers an online MPA program with concentrations in local government, non-profit, public management, aviation administration and public works administration. While an online program, students are required to attend an on-campus mandatory orientation.
University of North Carolina, Pembroke
The University of North Carolina, Pembroke offers an online MPA with concentrations in criminal justice, emergency management and health administration; students also have the option to craft their own custom concentration. Students without employment experience in their field of study must complete three credit hours of field experience in order to graduate.
University of North Dakota
The University of North Dakota offers a 35 credit MPA program. Students may also pursue a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration, Public Administration, Policy Analysis or Social Entrepreneurship.
